From initial setup to getting verified by Google, this workshop covers the essential steps to harnessing the power of Google My Business in local searches.

What Google My Business Is

Regardless of whether you have a brick & mortar store or you sell products online, a Google My Business listing helps customers find information about your business, from your hours of operation, to company photos, and curating reviews. A Google My Business listing is most often the first place a potential customer will find you online. GMB is a powerful tool that can help generate awareness and help your business reach more potential customers. Learn how to manage the basic aspects of GMB and start reaching your audience at the earliest possible stage. This workshop is led with at least 2 facilitators to help with any technical difficulties.

What you will Do

Complete Your GMB Listing

During the workshop, we will give you hands-on training on how to create your Google My Business listing from scratch. You will add your business address, hours of operation, how to properly add and tag photos. Most importantly, we will help you create a description to help Google understand who you are and how to properly display your business online. This is the first opportunity to increase your SEO. At the end of the workshop, your Google My Business listing will be built and ready for verification.

Is there anything I can do to prepare before hand?

Yes. If possible, gather a selection of business photos including: pictures of staff members, interior and exterior location photos, and your company logo.

What do I need to bring to this workshop?

In person workshops require you to bring a laptop. A phone or tablet will not be sufficient.

Do I need a website if I have a Google My Business?

Nothing. It is completely free to set up.
