Business Centre Guelph-Wellington has been a cornerstone for entrepreneurs and small businesses in Guelph and Centre Wellington for over 20 years. With an array of programs designed for students, early stage start-ups and women led enterprises, the Centre has helped launch over 6000 businesses including ours. Under the direction of Kristel Manes, the Business Centre is undertaking a radical technology transformation that will propel their capabilities and further cement the Centre in the local community.
After participating in a business development program through the Business Centre, we jumped at the opportunity to help Kristel and since have formed an amazing partnership. As a nonprofit the Centre qualified for an entire technology infrastructure upgrade through TechSoup Canada. The Centre now offers online booking for ALL of their mentors, online event booking, and easier ministry reporting for management. The next phase of initiatives are currently under development. The future is absolutely glowing for Guelph's businesses.
The Business Centre Guelph-Wellington offers a variety of programming at different time intervals and requirements. We created a user friendly interface to help users determine which program will best benefit their business. The back-end functionality allows for seamless updates effortlessly carried out by in-house staff, No programming required. With the entire process streamlined, the overhead of creating and running new programming is at an absolute minimum.
The Business Centre offers countless 1-on-1 consultations for the local community. Booking appointments by phone is a thing of the past. Clients can now check mentor availability and book directly online. The online booking functionality has drastically reduced operating costs for Centre staff and the information gathered from the digital booking form is transferred directly into reporting software for management. Better customer service, reduced costs, and fewer booking errors have all led to a complete technology adoption.
Businesses come in all shapes and sizes. Creating an inclusive work space for the movers and shakers of the world was intrinsic in the entire design system. We created an easy to follow guideline expressing colour and typography. Now internal staff can create on brand content, each and every time. We continue to work with the Centre to expand their upcoming workshop offerings and on-demand rental event space. Local Guelph small businesses will soon have an entire space dedicated to technology and business education.
2H Media is proud to be a recurring participant in the Starter Company + Ask The Professionals event. Each cohort, we attend the event to offer dedicated marketing advice to growing startups free of charge. In addition to our support of Starter Company +, we also provide mentorship and workshops for countless growing businesses through Business Centre Guelph-Wellington supported programs such as Rhyze Ventures, Starter Company +, and Summer Company.
